AXE THROWING FAQS 

Axe throwing is an exciting game that resembles darts but with axes. It’s competitive and requires very little skill. It’s also a great cardio workout!

  • What is Axe Throwing?

    We are open for walk-ins Thursday-Sunday!


    Thursday 4-10PM

    Friday 4-11PM

    Saturday 12-11PM

    Sunday 2-8PM

  • What are your hours of operation?

    $25 an hour/per person.

    Ages 10-14 are $15 an hour/per person.

    Military, first responders, and teachers save $5.

    Ask about group rates for parties of 10 or more.

  • How much does it cost?

    Up to 6 people can play on each lane.

  • How many people can I book for one lane?

    You can book for more than one hour! Any hour after the first is offered at a discounted rate.

  • How old do I have to be to participate?

    We offer fun for the whole family! Ages 10+ can throw axes. We also have a family room for children 9 and under with foam axes, targets, and other games.

  • How easy is it to schedule an Axe Throwing game?

    Extremely simple! You can book online or through call, text, or email. You can also reach us on any of our social media outlets, such as Facebook or Instagram.

  • Do you offer special pricing for large groups?

    Groups of 10 or more can book at a discounted rate.

  • Do I have to be a paying participant to come watch?

    You do not have to pay to be a spectator! We only charge for those throwing axes.

  • Do you offer Axe Throwing Leagues?

    We offer leagues on Monday night and go in rotation for nine weeks. It’s $140 for the full nine weeks, and a league t-shirt is included.

  • How long does it take to play a game?

    During your hour of throwing, you will cycle through many different games.

  • Is there a dress code?

    Remember, axe throwing is work. You might sweat a little. The more comfortable you are dressed the better. We also ask that you wear close toed shoes to protect those piggies!

  • Do I need to own or bring an axe?

    We provide beginner axes at our shop with your lane rental. And we do allow you to bring in your own axe(s).

  • Will I receive proper training? And how long does the training take?

    Each group will be designated your own lane coach. We guarantee that you will be sticking it in no time! Training generally takes around 5 minutes.

  • Can I take pictures?

    You can! We love pictures and tags on all our social media, so don’t forget to tag us on Facebook or Instagram.

  • Is this safe?

    Axe throwing is safe. Like with any sport, there are risks involved. However, we will teach you how to throw properly and safely.

  • Do you serve alcohol?

    We are an alcohol free facility at this time.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    We ask that you give us a 24 hour notice in order to receive your deposit. Sometimes when lanes are reserved someone else might miss out if held.

SPLATTER ROOM FAQ

  • What is a Splatter Room?

    A Splatter Room is a place to create fun art! The Splatter Room is lit with Black Lights, and inside the Black Bear Axe Throwing Splatter Room, you'll be given a blank canvas. Create a personal piece of art by slinging neon paint on your canvas, the walls, and each other. At the end of your session, go home with your new piece of art.

  • What will I use to splatter the paint?

    Paintbrushes, toothbrushes, loofahs, sponges, flyswatters, squirt guns, and, best of all, your hands! We supply everything but the hands!

  • What comes with the $25 price?

    Your Splatter Room Session is 40 minutes and comes with an 11” x 14” Canvas to take home with you. Your group of 1-4 people will get 4, 4oz bottles of paint. Your group of 5-10 people will get an additional 4oz bottle of paint per person. Lastly, an amazing experience!

  • Are there add-on packages?

    Larger Canvas: $5.00

    4oz of more paint: $3.00

    White T-Shirt (Splatter it and take it home!): $10.00

    5 Paint Balloons: $5.00

  • How long is the Splatter Room Session?

    Each session last for 40 minutes and start at the top of every hour. If you’re running late for your booking, we still must have you out by 40 after for clean-up to start on time. Arriving 15 minutes early will help us get you waivered and ready for your session.

  • What should I wear?

    Clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy. We provide washable, nontoxic paint but we cannot guarantee for it to come completely out of your clothes. However, we also provide a poncho, head coverings, shoe coverings, and goggles.

  • How old do I need to be to play in the Splatter Room?

    Ages 2 and up can sling the paint and make a mess-terpiece. Minors, 17 and under, must be in the room with a paid adult (18+). Parents, PLEASE help us and keep a very close eye on the very young ones!

  • Will I be in the Splatter Room with people I don’t know?

    Heck no!

  • Are walk-ins accepted for the Splatter Room?

    If there is availability, yes. But to secure your experience in this awesome new room, booking online or over the phone in advance is recommended.
